COTDIA is the name of our annual sacred medicine gathering dedicated to the healing and empowerment of the children of the African diaspora. We've created this space to help address the lingering toxic effects of colonialism, racism, and generational self-neglect. In addition to deep integration work, we strive to reconnect to the positive aspects of our own story with a focus on community-building and healing.
COTDIA is about redefining our identity, purpose, and building a sustainable future in this time of unprecedented change. Every year we gather in Jamaica to re-establish the link between all who identify as children of the African Diaspora as one world-wide indigenous medicine family. This annual event explores the richness of our shared ancestral strengths as we connect in a new, meaningful, and profound way.
A variety of subjects will be covered in order to share the latest and best information as we uplift and inspire one another. Topics include:
Radical self-care, creating routines that change your life
Developing mindfulness and your native healing self
Transcending race and anger to find your purpose
Decolonizing your diet through ancestral eating
Spirituality from an Afro-indigenous point of view
Creating a more self-sufficient future, cooperating as spiritual family groups
