Our live online End-Of-Life Doula Certification offers an in-depth view of death doulas' role in helping reduce fear and anxiety associated with death and dying. DETAILS A 4-week course consisting of 8 live virtual classes held twice per week from 11:00 a.m - 12:30 a.m (CT) / 12:00 p.m - 1:30 p.m (ET). YOU'LL LEARN: 1. The role and scope of an end-of-life doula and how to provide unconditional positive regard and nonjudgmental support. 2. About common terminal conditions, pain management, the dying process, and helpful non-medical strategies to ease suffering. 3. The importance of networking with local professionals, organizations and businesses that provide services for those at the end of life. 4. How to work in harmony with a client’s care team as needed to emphasize the client’s feelings of empowerment. 5. To recognize and support the stages of anticipatory grief. 6. To engage in meaningful conversations and life reviews with clients, including helping with legacy projects. 7. To support clients in developing vigil wishes and advance directives that make sense. 8. To nurture a protective, calm presence and environment with clients. 9. To develop effective ways to decrease anxiety/suffering by creating a peaceful space for clients​. This is a supportive learning experience with opportunities for participants to examine their own experiences, beliefs, hopes, and fears about death, and to grow with a subject that can be life-changing. BONUS: If you're interested in getting registered with the US National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) and want to take their Proficiency Assessment exam, we'll pay for it! (https://www.nedalliance.org/proficiency-assessment.html) NOTE This course is focused on the role of an end-of-life doula - not psychedelics. Once you've completed your final assignments, we'll issue your Certificate and digital badge. If you're also interested in our 7-days/6-nights experiential psilocybin facilitator training in Jamaica, you can pair them, and at the completion of both, we can issue your Certificate of Completion as a Psychedelic End-of-Life Doula in addition to the individual Certificates.
